The problem we all share You don’t have to be religious to notice something isn’t right. Look at the world: •Conflict between people and nations •Dishonesty in everyday life •Broken relationships •People hurting others—and themselves And if we’re honest, we see it in ourselves too. •We don’t always do what we know is right •We say things we regret •We fall short—even by our own standards This isn’t about labeling people. 👉 It’s about recognizing a shared human condition. The Bible says: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Why this matters If there is a God—and if He is just and good—then right and wrong are not just opinions. They matter. We all have a sense that justice is real. •When something wrong is done, it shouldn’t just be ignored •When someone is hurt, it matters •When truth is broken, it has consequences The Bible explains it this way: “The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23) This means separation from God. Not because God is harsh—but because He is just. 👉 If wrong is real, then it must be dealt with.
What God did This is where everything changes. God did not ignore the problem—and He did not leave us to fix it ourselves. The Bible says: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Instead of leaving us to face the consequences alone: •Jesus Christ came •Lived without sin •Died in our place He took what we deserved. This was not forced. 👉 Free Will, HIS and ours. God Himself stepped in to do what we could not do.
What this means for you This is not about becoming religious. It’s not about: •Joining a church •Fixing your life first •Trying harder to be better The Bible says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith…” (Ephesians 2:8–9) Salvation is a gift. 👉 It is received, not earned. That means: •Not trusting in yourself •Not relying on your own efforts •But trusting in what Christ has already done You don’t work for a gift. 👉 You receive it.
A personal step At some point, this becomes personal. It’s not just something to understand—it’s something to respond to. The Bible says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) This is not about repeating specific words. It’s about: •Recognizing your need •Believing what Christ has done •Turning to Him honestly You can speak to God in your own words. Not as a performance—but as a real response. How to respond to God If you are ready to respond, you can speak to God directly. This is not about saying perfect words. 👉 It’s about being honest. You can talk to God in your own words, but here are some simple things to express: •Acknowledge that you have sinned •Believe that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again •Ask Him to forgive you and save you •Turn to Him—not just for help, but for a new life You might say something like: “God, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me and rose again. I am not trusting myself—I am trusting You. Please forgive me and save me. Help me to follow You.” There is nothing special about these exact words. 👉 What matters is a real heart that believes. The Bible says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
What changes When someone truly believes, something real happens. •They are forgiven •They are made new •Their relationship with God is restored The Bible describes it as a new beginning. Not just outwardly—but from within. This doesn’t mean life becomes perfect. But it does mean: 👉 You are no longer the same And from that point forward, life begins to move in a new direction.
Common questions These are some of the most common questions people ask when thinking through these ideas. ⸻ Why does someone have to die for me? Because wrong has a real cost. We all understand this in everyday life—when something is broken, there is a price to fix it. When someone is wronged, justice matters. If God is truly just, then sin cannot simply be ignored. The Bible teaches that instead of leaving us to face that cost ourselves, Jesus Christ took that cost upon Himself. 👉 Not forced, but willingly. ⸻ Why can’t God just forgive without all this? Because forgiveness without justice is not truly good. If wrongdoing is simply ignored, then justice has no meaning. God is not only loving—He is also just. The cross is where both are satisfied: •Justice is not ignored •Mercy is freely given ⸻ Why Jesus? Why not someone else? Because the problem is human—but no ordinary human is without fault. Jesus is unique: •Fully human •Without sin That means: 👉 He does not need to pay for Himself 👉 He can stand in place of others ⸻ Isn’t this just religion? No—this is not about joining a system or following traditions. Religion often says: 👉 “Do better, try harder” The message of the Bible says: 👉 “You cannot fix this yourself—but God has made a way” ⸻ What if I’m not sure I believe yet? That’s okay. This page isn’t asking you to pretend. It’s asking you to consider: •Is there a real problem in humanity? •Is there a real solution? Truth can stand up to honest questions.
